TextVocalOverview
This Privacy Policy explains how TextVocal: Smart Text to Audio Converter (“TextVocal”, “the app”, “we”, “us”), developed by Aldritch G. Felipe, handles information when you use the app on your Android device. TextVocal is a simple text-to-speech tool that reads the text you type aloud.
Information we collect
We do not collect, store on our servers, or share personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or device identifiers. We do not use analytics or tracking tools that identify you.
Text you enter
- Your text is used only to convert it into speech while you use the app. We do not receive a copy of it.
- Speech history lets you review text you previously converted. It is kept on your own device and is not sent to us. You can clear your text with Clear Text, and you can remove all app data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app in your device settings.
Permissions
- Internet – declared by the app so that the speech engine on your device can work normally (for example, to download or use voice data). TextVocal itself does not use it to upload your personal data.
TextVocal does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location or files.
Third-party services
The spoken audio is produced by the text-to-speech engine installed on your device (for example, the Google Text-to-Speech service that ships with many Android phones). Depending on the engine and voice you use, that engine may process text online. This processing is controlled by the engine’s provider and governed by its own privacy policy, not by TextVocal. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of the speech engine you have selected in your device’s settings.
The app is built with the MIT App Inventor platform, whose runtime components are included in the app.
Children’s privacy
TextVocal does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal data, there is nothing to share or delete. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will help.
Security & your control
Because your text and history stay on your device, they are protected by your device’s own security (screen lock, encryption). You are in control: you can clear text at any time, clear the app’s data, or uninstall TextVocal to remove everything it stored.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
